A research paper titled ” Assuring Spatio-Temporal Integrity on Mobile Devices with Minimum Location Disclosure” has been accepted for publication in IEEE Transactions on Mobile Computing (TMC).
As a co-PI in project “Security and Privacy-enhancing Technologies for Cloud Storage of Big Data”, Dr. Hu and colleagues have been awarded a collaborative research fund from RGC worth of 5.98 million HKD.
As the team lead in Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Dr. Hu has joined the team of Prof. Zhou in Fudan University and jointly secured a 2.52 million RMB key project in the Joint Funds of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, with title “Privacy Preservation Techniques for Query Processing in Big Data”.
A research project entitled “Privacy-Preserving Mobile User Behavior Statistics Collection” has been awarded by Huawei Innovation Research Program (HIRP), 2016 with 30,000 USD.
Dr. Hu was elected technical committee member on Databases, CCF (中国计算机学会数据库专委会).

I have been awarded a research grant from RGC/GRF with the title “Protecting Metadata Privacy for Mobile Crowdsensing Using Oblivious RAM” and HK$ 482,605.
Dr. Hu was awarded “Distinguished Young Lecturer” at the 17th International Conference on Web-Age Information Management (WAIM ‘16).
Qualifications: Candidates must have been conferred/obtained the PhD degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution no more than three (calendar) years before the (calendar) year of application (regardless of the date of the degree conferment) or are expected to obtain the PhD degree within six months of the application deadline.
Period: 24 months
Salary: no lower than HK$25,000 per month
Application procedure: in his/her CV, the Postdoctoral Fellowship candidate should select up to five of his/her most representative research output items and provide a full list of publications/other research output items for the consideration of the Committees/Panel concerned. If the research output items are journal articles, the impact factor and the ranking of each journal in a discipline according to the latest database should be provided, if practicable. If there are different rankings in different disciplines, the disciplines should be stated. Accepted journal articles can also be provided, but the letters of unconditional acceptance should be attached as evidence. If the candidate is not the first or second author of a journal paper listed in his/her CV, explanation for how he/she is the main contributor should be given.
